Ama is passionate about resolving major financial unwellness in her African migrant communities; setbacks that stem from generations of inconsistent financial planning, financial illiteracy, and systemic biases, specifically in the areas of leveraging, risks management, tax-smart wealth management, and wealth transfer.
Ama’s candid, multicultural and educational approach to designing and implementing holistic financial wellness strategies have created unïque +possibilities for our clients, their families, and the community, to prosper.
Ama brings together tenured and diverse industry experts, to provide unbiased, scalable and client-focused solutions.
Ama is a naturalized U.S. citizen, with Nigeria and Sierra Leone ancestry. Ama's devotion to the wellbeing of her community stems from a rich cultural heritage and being born, partly educated and raised in Nigeria's tumultuous Post-First, through its Abortive Third Republic, which sparked her entrepreneurial mindset from an early age, to identify and design simplified solutions that resolve basic community needs -- stability, protection and prosperity.
Prior to launching SÏMEMA in 2012, Ama served for over 14 years in various positions where she was responsible for the profitability of multi-million dollars in assets at major U.S. Fortune 1000 companies around the country.
Ama is an award-winning community advocate and champion for Public-Private-Partnership (P3) growth initiatives.
Ama also chairs and serves on various community, civic and education enrichment initiatives designed to improve the quality of life and representation of African migrants in the U.S. and abroad.
Ama is one of the founding members and a sustaining partner of the Festival of African Arts, Culture and Entertainment (F.A.A.C.E) a.k.a. AfriFest Houston, established in 2012.
